4-In-1 Portraiture

Top Left: Golfer Sam // Paramount/Butterfly Lighting
Top Right: Team Fan Sam // Loop Lighting
Bottom Left: Dark/ Emo Sam // Split Lighting
Bottom Right: Everyday/ Surfer Sam // Rembrant Lighting

Reflection: It wasn't difficult to set up the lights, it just didn't make a super strong difference to me like it did on the example sheet. Next time I would experiment in different ways with the amount of lights I have on. I don't have a favorite really, but if I had to pick one, I guess I think it would be the Team Fan picture. I just like the brightness and how she isn't washed out, yet her face is extremely bright.

  1. Hi Jillian, I'm sorry you didn't see much difference. Lighting is definitely an entirely separate unit of study and requires more time and experimentation. I'll keep reworking this unit... it's difficult being more hands on for every single photo shoot with you guys. Glad you got to try it out anyway.
